Click the download button above and open the downloaded VisionFu.dmg file.
Drag VisionFu to your Applications folder.
When prompted, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and enable VisionFu. This is required to apply visual effects to your screen.
VisionFu runs in your menu bar. Click the icon to access all effects and settings.
VisionFu uses ScreenCaptureKit to apply real-time visual effects to your entire screen. Apple restricts screen recording APIs in App Store apps for privacy reasons. However, VisionFu is notarized by Apple, meaning it has been scanned for malware and is safe to run on your Mac.
Yes! VisionFu is notarized by Apple, which means Apple has verified that the app is free from known malware. All screen processing happens locally on your Mac - nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
This shouldn't happen with our notarized build. If you see this message, right-click (or Control-click) the app and select "Open" from the menu. You'll see an option to open the app anyway. You only need to do this once.
Simply drag VisionFu from your Applications folder to the Trash. To remove preferences, also delete ~/Library/Preferences/Canadian-Intelligence-Agency-Inc.VisionFu.plist
VisionFu uses GPU acceleration for all effects, resulting in minimal CPU usage (~1-2%). On modern Macs, you shouldn't notice any performance impact. The app runs at 60fps for smooth visuals.
